The Broncos are 2 point road favorites and it's only two because of the beat down the Bears placed on the Rams and the utter disaster that was Peyton's game against KC. The Bears really made STL look bad but their QB was a big part of preventing the Rams from competing. Foles looked terrible. Manning is capable of looking just as bad, so it will be interesting.

The Bears boned themselves with early losses and they pretty much have to end the season 10-6 to have a chance at the playoffs. 2 more losses and it's over, so the best idea would be to not get your next loss anytime soon.

Manning has a torn plantar fascia.

EDIT: Partially torn.

That's a foot injury, correct?

Correct. The plantar fascia goes across the bottom of your foot...

Eli Manning played with fully torn plantar fascia in 2009; Peyton Manning's is partial tear, which is more painful to play through.

So weird that I have no idea who I want to start for the Broncos between Osweiler, Manning and Tebow. Actually its between Manning and Tebow.

Wait, that tweet isn't from a parody account?

Yes, unlike Tebow who tore through his mom's placenta, which is much different.

Good one! \:D/

Has to be. I assumed it was a joke. Osweiler actually settled down after a rough start. But, they will probably be without Emmanuel Sanders, because he got knocked the f out in the game yesterday. Not sure who got it worse. Rousey or Sanders.

[expletive]. I really hate how in-season trading isn't a thing in the NFL.

Well it is...just not after Nov 3rd.

It is, but it isn't. Not many trades happen and hardly anyone even knows when the trade deadline takes place. Forte wasn't hurt at the time of the deadline, but not sure how hard the Bears were trying to move him or if anyone really had any desire to make an offer. As ugly as some team's running games are, you would think someone would have been interested in a guy like Forte. I guess the asking prices just aren't worth playoff consideration, or added strength for the playoffs.

Football isn't like baseball. You can't just insert a guy into the lineup and be fine. They need to know the playbook and it takes time. Draft picks are also much more valuable in football since guys contribute to the team the year they are drafted.

Anecdotally, football players seem like they are more a product of the system and that perceived value doesn't always translate to a different team. Matt Cassel comes to mind.

Right but there are players out there that clearly are elite regardless of the system. Forte is an example, as he's had like 6 offensive systems in his career and has produced throughout. Those players should hypothetically have perceived value, unless they are a 30 year old RB 8 games away from UFA.

The problem is it takes too long for teams to be mathematically eliminated so teams don't want to sell off. Then in the offseason everyone plans to compete for next year and only "change of scenery" guys are made available.

I'm pretty sure Forte got hurt the Sunday before the deadline. He was in some rumors, and then the injury happened and there was just no chance after that.

Willie Young had another very solid game. Looks to fit in this defense well.
