Just not understanding why Bama is being singled out for ridicule. Clemson has 2 top 20 wins, Iowa has none so far as I can tell (undefeated so their ranking is fine of course), ND has one.

Because Alabama is being singled out by the committee as far and away better than any other 1 loss team and have been all year because eye test. This isn't that hard to understand.

It's not even like I'm arguing they're not good. They probably are the 2nd best team right now. But the SEC that they're plowing through this year is not just not what it usually is, it just flat out isn't very good. The entire conference's collective best non league win is Wisconsin. Wisconsin!

Iowa had 2, both on the road. Wisconsin was 19 when they played and Northwestern was 20. Wisconsin has dropped out, but NW is at 17.

Nobody cares about where teams were ranked at the team barring injuries tanking a team's season. But yes, Iowa has zero losses and destroyed a higher ranked team on the road.

ND has 2 top 25 wins, and their 1 loss is to undefeated #1.

MSU has 3, though their 1 loss it to a bad Nebraska team.

Oklahoma has 2, though their 1 loss is to a bad Texas team

Baylor has 1, with a better loss.

OKSt has 1, with a better loss.

Stanford has 2, but has 2 top 25 losses to go with it.

Of course schedule goes deeper than top 25, but "hey we beat some fringe top 25 teams (and lost to 1)" gets you first place votes and unquestioned status as top 1 loss team? After next week, they'll either have 2 top 25 wins, and 1 loss to an unranked team, or they'll be 1-1 vs. the top 25. At least Ohio State was defending national champion, Bama is just "well they have a lot of talent"

Unless I'm mistaken, waving to tell teammates to stay away is equivalent to a fair catch signal. I've seen that rule enforced before

It is. Mike Pereria said it was the right call afterwards... and you can see the Northwestern guys pulling up once he catches it.

Unreal, I'm not sure if I just watched a football game or a clown show

I didn't see the fake fair catch but I'm shocked they overturned that touchdown.

Same. I have no idea what a catch is/isn't anymore. I think it has to do with the ball not being 100% secure before you voluntarily get rid of it/drop it/hand it to ref. Still... confusing.

To make matters worse, the refs also missed illegal motion from Stave on the snap after he was sacked. He's walking toward the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped.

Michigan State didn't led in either the Michigan game or Ohio State game until there was no time on the clock.
