Bears had a 10 point lead with 2:50 left against Detroit and lost.

This week we have a 7 point lead with 1:10 left and manage to lose in regulation. Only sulleys teams

I just can't believe we blew 2 games we probably had a 95% probability to win at some point. Those 2 games would have made us 4-3 and in a playoff spot. Just have to let this season go.

The Bears already did.

i have no idea how this [expletive] only happens to my teams

We will be thankful for these collapses when we are drafting 7th or so in April

Yeah and then meatball public opinion will cause the Bears to draft a QB

This team

you seem to have a very loose definition of "team"

My teams, man. I hate going three years between competing for a playoff spot

It's not like theyre bad, its just everything goes against them all the time. Nothing good happens at any mean8ngful time for any team outside the hawks.

Haha Bill Simmons tried to say some weird [expletive] that was loosely blaming Cutler for the loss, and something about the Bears having bad juju and got roasted for it on Twitter

Cutler is the only reason they aren't 0-7

Well yeah there was pretty much nothing bad you could say about Cutler's performance today. Almost nothing bad you could say about it in Detroit game. One bad int in the GB game but other than that he kept them in it. He's finished 5 games this year and has been pretty damn good in all 5.

Why would meatball public opinion cause that?

Goooood. The Bears gain nothing by being middle of the pack this year. They're bad, but they're bad in a good way in that they're improving their draft slot without being catastrophically bad where the draft pick would be little more than a Band-Aid at best.

Yep plus a ton of cap space for next year

If things end up well with White, this year's draft is looking pretty good at this point (obviously, that's a massive qualifier as any time a 7th overall pick isn't playing it is very bad). I like Langford, Goldman, and Amos.

Why would meatball public opinion cause that?

And why would it be meatbally to want the Bears to draft a quarterback when their only decent option is 33?

I'm assuming he meant using their top pick.

If they feel a QB at their spot is BPA and a franchise capable QB, they sure should, but they sure as hell shouldn't reach on the pick either.

i want a defensive stud. preferably an OLB.

obviously if a franchise qb were there and was BPA, you take that, but that's not gonna happen

I want either Jaylon Smith or Hargraeves

I think there are 3 levels of the non-playoff teams draft spots this year.

Top 7, 8-13, 14-20

If you pick in the top 7, you get one of the top 2 OTs (Ronnie Stanley, Laremy Tunsil), 1 of the top 2 DBs (Vernon Hargreaves, Jalen Ramsey), one of the top DL (Robert Nkemdiche, Joey Bosa), or the top LB (Jaylon Smith).....and I think these all happen to be the Bears top needs.

8 to 13, you're looking at a potential freak athlete but maybe with some scheme fit issues (this isn't taking just the Bears scheme into account). Myles Jack, Leonard Floyd, DeForest Buckner, or at least 1 of the top 3 QBs should be in play here (Goff, Lynch, and Cook).

14-20, I don't think the Bears have to worry about....but this is where I think you get the good 2nd tier group of the guys in the top 7. I really like CB Tre'Davious White, DL Jarran Reed, OT Jerald Hawkins, and LB Reggie Ragland.

But yeah, I think the Bears need to come out of next offseason with potential building block playmakers at OT, CB, and OLB. I think they can get by if they are just solid at ILB, S, DL and other positions on the OL.

I'd love to draft in the top 5 to hopefully get one of those OTs and then get the pass rusher on the board in the 2nd. I'd probably pay big money for a CB, which is one of my least favorite things to do (big money CBs don't typically work out), but the Bears are so bad elsewhere that they can't focus as much of the draft on the CB position as they really need.
