Maybe I gotta stop looking at what are usually pretty frivolous projections, but I'm surprised to see the Cubs are already projected as (very very slight) underdogs in the NLCS against ??? by FanGraphs

I would have thought the extra days off and letting our team set our pitching would count for..something? Their projections always love the Dodgers though so it may just be the Dodgers getting a mega bump

Fangraphs projections are powered by Baseruns, which had the Dodgers ever so slightly better than the Cubs: http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=BaseRuns

Add in home field advantage for the Dodgers in Game 5 and whoever wins over the Cubs in the NLCS and that's probably how you get to the 49% world series odds for the Cubs.

I rescind wanting to face the Dodgers because I forgot how much that stupid pit they play in kills dongs at night.

Citi Field is pretty cavernous too in CF.

I'm good with either team. I think we beat just about anybody in a 7 game series.

Deep in CF, sure, but it seems like Chavez just eats up anything that isn't a screaming line drive dong down the foul line.

This year is dedicated to Ernie, right? Beat the Mets.

one of the reasons i immediately said the mets was i didn't want to lose schwarber when facing stupid brett anderson, but he has reverse splits for his career.

Part of me wants the Dodgers to avenge 2008, and part wants the Mets because I think they're more likely to beat them.

But I really don't care that much

Cubs don't traditionally play well in LA.

Mets played on Tuesday, had to travel across country, play a night game on Thursday and then would have to travel across country again only to have to play again on Saturday.

Both teams have great starters, but I think the Mets for pitchers would be more likely to wilt under pressure than the Dodger pitchers.

Cubs have played well against the Mets this season.

Payback for '69.

Mets!
