the shadows were there before the game even started and are now out of play from batting visibility standpoint.

all in all not a bad outing i guess. he righted the ship after the first two batters and would probably still be pitching at least for another batter if there were an actual real-life strikezone to throw pitches into

Hammel just didn't have great command at any point during the game. It was a good call to get him out.
