I want another 3-0 away team wins score line tomorrow.

In fact, I'm picking a 3-0 away team win tomorrow night. Castro doubles in Bryant, Schwarber hits a dong after a Fowler single. Arrieta pitches 8 innings, 0 runs.

Found it. Does this count?

Looks like you volunteered.

@thekapman celebrating the Schwarber home run was almost cool, but then I realized he actually knew the camera was there

I'm sure it's been discussed ad nauseam in this thread, but wtf was with them hitting Arrieta? This is the playoffs; act like you are the ones who have been there before. Your whole pitching philosophy is about owning the inside part of the plate and you've led the majors in HBP in each of the last three years. Does this mean you expect every other team to throw at your pitcher after he hits a batter? If so, that's a lot of stupid, petty beanball wars. Spare me your indignation at a couple balls slipping and hitting your batters, considering you hit more people accidentally than any other team in baseball.

I must say, Arrieta is rapidly moving up my list of Most Loved Cubs Ever. He tells everyone all week that he is going to come out and shut them down. Then he comes out and does just that. And they try to start [expletive] with him and he... steals a base on the very next pitch. What a bad man. I love him.

Pure frustration. They knew they were toast. I've never seen a more thorough example of a team being psyched out.

okay...that was really fun. But sweeping St Louis will be so much better.

Yep, they could feel they were in the midst of having the same thing done to them as last year.

MadBum: 9 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 0 R, 10 K

Jake: 9 IP, 5 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 11 K

Related note: It's amazing that even though Jake clearly lost his control a bit in the middle innings, he still didn't walk a batter. I know he hit 2, but I'm still surprised he didn't walk anyone.

Eh they put up a better fight than the Yankees last night. That was brutal.

poor Kyle nobody cares about him anymore

I want to come back to this because Kyle Schwarber had an RBI single and knocked a Gerrit Cole pitch into the river a mile and a half away and he is somehow not the focal point of tonight's game(justifiably!). Insane.

You know a ball got hit a long way when Pat doesn't say "That ball's got a chance..."
