This empty stadium is why teams that don't have fans like the Cubs have a harder time throwing away multiple seasons to get good.

 

I remember the years when the CUBS would lose 100 games a year, and the upper deck would be closed for weekday games, and we only drew about 600,000 for the season.

It's kinda cool that Dan Haren gets to end his career on a really good team and throw a couple gem outings (this one and the game against the Cardinals)

 

I dunno if he has much use in the playoffs (would coming out of the bullpen make him more effective? It's not like it'll add MPH to his fastball) but it's neat for him at least
