Just because I find Fowler to be very boring doesn't mean I dislike him. He made me rage when he sucked and now that he is good I am enjoying it very much. La Stella and Haren are the only two players it is OK to hate.

There is no move that is more of a Matheny move than hitting the best player on a team, with two outs and bases clear, that pimped a HR and is spanking his team.

So, I don't know if this was shown or discussed on the Cubs broadcast, but on the cards they showed him screaming at the ump from the dugout and he was clearly telling him he wanted to meet him outside the stadium after the game to "discuss" things. I'm not sure how threatening to kick an umps ass isn't a suspendable offense when it's that obvious. Super classy and very Cardinal like move there, Lance.

Truth is it's going to take a hell of a lot for me to ever like him as even as a player again. The last three years he has proven to be a liability to lay a massive turd of a season. How can you possibly rely on him for anything after that?

 

Then add the stupid mistakes.

 

This isn't the first time he's had a hot six or seven weeks either. Does anybody really want to count on him in an everyday role next year? How can you?
