Honestly, the Giants just feel completely irrelevant at this stage. A loss tonight would have them 8 back in the loss column and having lost 6 straight. I'm not even remotely concerned about them anymore.

If the Cubs go .500 the rest of the season they'll win 90 games. If the Giants lose tonight, they need to finish 22-6 to surpass a 90 win Cubs team.

lol imagine how insanely buried the giants would be if the cubs hadn't tripped up just now

oh, i didn't catch that part when i read it right before making my post

I'm a lot more interested in catching a team that may well only be 4 up on the Cubs after tonight and has 7 games left against them.

oh good because i wasn't and haven't been aggressively ridiculing the idiots who were worried about blowing the lead over catching the pirates (or previously st louis)

Seems like the brewers are the one team that can beat on the pirates haha who'da'thunk it

Well, and us.

Every team in the NL Central is over .500 against the PIrates.

The Pirates counter that by being 21-5 against the NL West.

Hell, at this point I'm more concerned about the Nationals, as they should be way better than they are and play nobody else the rest of the year.

Lol cool your circuits, man. I haven't been following this board that closely of late.

oh man, Vogelsong doesn't even make it out of the 4th for the Giants. They're down 9-2 to the Rox.

5-3 Brewers in the 8th

I think Sahadev Sharma might have been the one who programmed David. I mean that mostly as a compliment, as I really like Sahadev, and as a result, David, but both are unafraid to make an aggressively condescending post (or tweet, in Sharma's case) every now and then.

Before Mulholland you have to go back 4 years to Greg Hibbard. The 90's Cubs barely had any LH relievers either.

I watched the end of their game against the Giants the other night. Scully didn't realize an obvious review til like 5 seconds after the ump had a headset on. It was sad.
