Homie is playing at like a 7.2 fWAR pace right now, and his 1.6fWAR so far would be third highest on both of the white sox and phillies.

Seriously, there's zero chance this actually happened:

Montañez signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs on January 2, 2011. He was called up from the Iowa Cubs on May 24, 2011 and was in the lineup that night at Wrigley Field against the New York Mets. His first at-bat resulted in an RBI double. He elected free agency on November 28.

STOP MAKING PLAYERS UP.

Added bonus: when Schwarber is finally forced to retire because of some kind of mercy rule flimflam in 35 years, he'll go on to manage the Cubs and look like this:

Mojo's inability to remember anything Cubs related that isn't presently going on in front of his face never fails to astound.

Hey, I recognized Vitters!

He makes me feel like a baseball historian.

I love that Bryant is all dreamy and whatnot, but Schwarbs looks like he'd kick your [expletive] ass and laugh about it. That's awesome too.

i remember we were talking about correa as a possibility back in 2012

i can't even fathom what that would be like right now

In Dave Cameron's chat yesterday, he said a "close friend in the game" put an Eric Hinske comp on Schwarber.

I now made each of you dumber for having read that.

I guess it's possible. Hinske put up almost 5 WAR his first season, and then 6 WAR total for the rest of his career.

[expletive] Hendry cost us Archer AND Correa.
