Didn't Peavy start yelling at him like 3 pitches into the at bat? It definitely wasn't before the first pitch.

His whining is like sweet, sweet candy.

His weak chin and weird baby face and stringy hair...

Not that team owners aren't usually monstrous to look at, but he's especially creeptacular.

That was a big boy save for Rondon. He actually didn't pitch badly, but the Giants put together tough ABs with the best of them. After getting out of that jam with 3 Ks, he should really have a ton of self-belief.

That said, even with the off day I hope Joe sits Rondon at least Tuesday - with the 5-out save Friday and 35 pitches today, he has to be redlining. Let Strop close Tuesday if you need a closer.

Still think Rondon is a lot better suited for matchups in the middle relief/set-up role. I mean I'm 100% okay with him for right now because he's not Jason Motte but going forward.

You're being ridiculous.

Yes, his 2.11 ERA and 2.37 FIP over the last two seasons indicate that he isn't suited to close.

The next 22 games for the Giants: vs HOU, vs WAS, @ STL, @PIT, vs CHC, vs STL, @LAD

I'm more worried about the Nats/Mets loser at this point

I'm not. We are 3.5 up on one and 5 on the other. And, by having to take the wild card, it would mean that team didn't play well enough to take the East. The chances of both of those teams playing well enough to overtake us aren't very high.

Granted I'm not writing them off -- or the Giants -- but I am not too worried about the loser of that race.
