I don't think many of our past managers would have the balls to do this. Back when Hendry was around they were always worried about hurting a guys feelings and ego and tried to be all buddy buddy with certain players and would never do this . I love the we don't give a [expletive], this is business, and we will do whatever it takes to win/putting the best talent out there attitude that Maddon and this FO has.

There are too many legitimate options for shirseys now for a Chicago resident only owning a Castro to be acceptable. I've picked up Russell, Bryant and Schwarber on my trips to games this year. My Castro is essentially a pajama shirt at this point.

Haven't felt compelled to spend money on sports apparel lately as I haven't been attending games as much and it's really the only time I wear jerseys or shirseys. Plus the decision between Rizzo, Bryant, Russell, Schwarber or Arrieta is just too difficult for me to make a decision.

 

I am leaning Arrieta although Schwarbers play causing Castro to get benched has to make me reconsider

i just feel weird wearing shirseys for guys 10 years younger than me...even though i don't look my age.

 

i'd probably get a russell if i got another one. or schwarbs. i don't like soler's number and javy is too much of a wild card. bryant is the next prior in that everybody is going to have one (and hopefully only in that regard)

One is numberless, the other has the #5 from a cheap sale on Cubs.com the year after Nomar left. It was either that or #20 for Corey Patterson. I don't think anyone has worn #5 since.

It's too bad Majestic makes the sherseys. I have an old, mostly retired, Rizzo and newer Soler and Bryant shirts but it feels like the quality is kinda crappy on them.

i had a wood from like 98, a nomar in 04 (also a "got nomar?" shirt), a patterson that I believe i got in 04, then got another wood in like 06 with the newer/current design. then i got a harden in 08.

 

i think that's all until my ex gf got me rizzo two years ago for my bday.
