Leal is LHP partial return for Campana (haha), Pineyro is RHP return for Scott Hairston and given up for Haren

Leal will always, always be the answer to "Who was traded to the Cubs for Campana?" if he does nothing else.

In the all new "Trivial Pursuit: Worst Edition Ever."

Miggy is evidently impressed with Contreras, as he thinks he's a future MLB All Star Catcher. Said wait till you see his defense and arm.

Julian Aybar for DSL has a 2.02 ERA 1.00 WHiP and 5/38 BB/K through 30 IP. At 23, he's old as dirt for the DSL. Don't see many guys over 20-21 in that league, and those are the guys who have been lingering for several years. But what makes this one kinda-sorta interesting to me is that it's his first year pro. Is this someone who played pro(ish) elsewhere?

General impressions from SB Cubs game

Leal was not overpowering but he threw all his pitches for strikes and got a lot of ground balls.

Their defense was exceptional especially the 2nd baseman Botte

Jeffery Baez can hit but he's a very poor base runner. He had two left center gap doubles and a sharp single

Happ was not impressive at all. He did have a single

Beer was good food was awful

Interesting back story here. He was put in jail for 7 years for egging police cars. But the legend says cops were impressed with both the dents put in their cars AND the accuracy that was shown during each egging.

Long story short, the Dominican police captain knows Theo. He made a call for the kid and here he is.....

Being that eggs and baseballs are a bit different, Julian is a bit raw at this stage and may be what's known as a late bloomer.

Omelette you finish but that is the greatest backstory ever told.

The Great Dominican Egg Shortage of 2008 is what led to the rather lengthy sentence. El Juevo Policia wouldn't tolerate the wasting of a good egg.

A side note to this-Aybar had an episode at the Dominican Academy a few months back at breakfast. He hadn't had access to eggs(mandated) and when they were served at breakfast(scrambled), he grabbed as many as he could and started attempting curveballs with them. There was said to be a lot of run on it-but it's disputed due to not knowing how well the egg was cooked.

At any rate, eggs are off the menu for now.

Wow, is that a real story? And damn that gets you 7 years?

I love the detail "during each egging". I'd call him a cereal vandalizer even if that's not eggsactly what's going on here and frankly, the police should have gotten over this easy.

I'm sorry...he DENTED the cop car with an egg? I may have to call BS on that. I (very rightfully) got in trouble for pelting moving cars with green guavas back in the day - those leave some big ol' dents let me tell you -but eggs? Hardboiled? Maybe I guess? That shows some premeditation though - perhaps that why the 7 years.
