Call me a meatball if you will, but the whole "don't block the plate" rule or whatever is just stupid and its pointless anyways if they never enforce it.

It was a terrible send. After McCutchen cut it off, you have to hold him up.

He's not [expletive] Superman, you goon. He got nailed by a perfect throw. It's worth taking the chance because more often than not guys don't make that throw.

It took a great cutoff by McCutchen and two perfect throws to get Russell. No complaints about the send.

exactly

But, and I will admit I might have seen it wrong, the cutoff and the first great throw already happened by the time Russell was basically at third. Or no?

I'd much rather take my chances with Bryant against Happ.

Kang had the ball in short left as Russell was touching third.

It is very stupid. By the letter of the rule there's a real chance Russell could have been called safe, and that's silly.

Well, because screwing up the throws enough for him to be safe is more likely than a hit happening before an out.

With the way Bryant is hitting I'd rather force the Pirates to throw him out.

I feel like when I agree with you this much it has to be an obvious fact
