Does anyone know what happened to Tommy LaStella's rehab? He played the 29th but not the next two days. Reinjured? Held out because of trade talk?

Candelario and Zagunis with home runs. It's Jeimer's first AA homer.

IIRC from Twitter, Javy has a couple RBI hits tonight, including a double.

Jake Stinnett with 0 BB in 6 (2 ER, 5 K). But he did hit 2 guys.

Iowa's dropping an 11 run/13 hit assault and it's only the bottom of the 3rd. Mostly singles other than Javy's 2B (2-3, 3 RBI) a pair of 2B by Silva and a rare Andreoli-Bomb. The quietly relevant Villanueva is 3-3 and the kinda-sorta relevant Olt is 2-2 with a BB.

Javy has been knocking the ball around since returning to Iowa but has been striking out a bunch, too. Hopefully the K part is just rust, he was doing really well keeping those down before his injury.

Baez is going to strike out a bajillion times even if he becomes a perpetual all-star. Just roll with it and pray for dongs. Lots of dongs.

He's quietly been better over the past month or so in a general, overall perspective. He's lost a lot of luster, but (half glass full) he is still relatively new to fulltime pitching and maybe the improvement lasts the rest of the way.

Another half-glass full hope is that Jeffrey Baez is finally putting things together. He can afford to give up some raw power for contact and still be intriguing. Here's hoping.

If Javy ever hits .300 for the season it'll be because he hit 60 hr.

Too bad I don't think Javy is capable of a 12 WAR season. One can dream...
