Eh, I really don't like him on 4/60+ (I think there's some major bust potential to him with his age/injury history). I'd rather go to 5/90 for Shark. The savings on him over Shark would have to make it possible to make a run at Heyward for me to really like it if money is tightish

Also, have to consider that a Kazmir signing doesn't mean losing a draft pick. Cheaper + no draft pick lost + no disaster 2015 season, and I can see the justification for Kaz over Shark. But I tend to agree with you. The time to get Kazmir was a few years ago when he was a reclamation product (when I really wanted to get him, FWIW). I think now, you're likely paying Kazmir more for past performance than future. Shark comes with more durability and familiarity; and I have more faith in him going forward, even with the bad 2015.

to the Dodgers on a 3 year deal.....Their rotation now consists of 5 lefties, with Kershaw/Kazmir/Wood/Anderson/Ryu.

3/48, opt out after year 1.

Interesting move, wonder if they end up shopping Wood, although not sure how big that market would be after last season. The QO, and maybe Boras shooting a bit high, looks to be really hurting Wei-Yin Chen.

They're going to be murder on all of those lefty heavy lineups. Of which there aren't any, with the possible exception of...oh.

I wonder if that move was actually made partially with us in mind. Oooo other teams are building their teams specifically to try and beat us, how exciting!

Really surprised the Dodgers didn't do more. Kazmir is a good pitcher, but that rotation looks to take a huge hit on paper with Greinke. And they really haven't done much else with a team that was probably only the 5th best team in the NL last year. Arizona and SF are gaining on them also.
