Going to lose this series.

Lost 2 series against the Crew (aka worst team in baseball). Dropped a series against the DBacks.

Starting to get a little frustrated . Can't get traction where we should.

It's the 3rd [expletive] inning.

the dbacks keep getting lumped in when they've basically been a .500 team with a better run differential

What makes me sad is that I feel more like last year now when they get down by four. Like they just don't have enough guys to get us back into it.

Totally different then the beginning of the season, when I never thought any deficit was too much to overcome.

baseball is so random that i basically put equal expectations on every series, regardless of the team they're playing. if they're a good team they'll beat some good teams to make up for the series they lose against crappy ones. there are just way too many games in a season to even bother following the quality of opponents. Marlins were a popular preseason pick for the playoffs, too.

This. Obviously great teams will most often beat up on bad teams, but we aren't a great team.

Look, the Blackhawks put it together and started whopping ass in 2009...when the Cubs fell in to the toilet, and everything has been topsy-turvy ever since.

What I'm saying is that the Blackhawks are evil sorcerers who need to be destroyed by miserable failure so the Cubs can rise again.

This logic is sound.

I don't think you quite got what he was saying based on your two sentences.

are you willing to concede a championship to a team from florida for this to happen?

No, it's more like 2009 Blackhawks = 2015 Cubs.

Playoff run this year. Championship next.

The Cubs already did that, dammit.
