It just looks like he's putting together much better plate appearances and seeing the ball better. I haven't looked at his contact % and swing %. I'm just going off of memory.

Limited sample size, sure, but if he is more patient it hasn't manifested into anything beyond diddly-squat at this point. His numbers stink and there's no real BABIP outlier.
