That's the kind of statement I've been waiting to hear from Kane's camp, but has never come.

She could easily be telling the truth, but it seems hard enough to prove the allegations against Kane, and the accuser got a rape kit like an hour later. Unless this chick has some kind of damning evidence, this sounds impossible to prove.

 

Yeah, but that's why it's not criminal. In a civil judgement, they just need a "preponderance of evidence", not "beyond a reasonable doubt".

It would make sense to me if she was uncomfortable with all the things he was asking her to do, she would have told him to take a hike long before the alleged incident. It sounds terribly gross, and to align key themes in the Kane thread, I hate to blame the victim because we're dealing with an athlete that has this god-like complex and has told he's awesome at every stage of his life athletic life.

You want an attorney to publicly blame the victim? In Rose's case, this is just a lawsuit, Kane's situation is far more serious and seems to have a ton of merit.

I'm sure it's just a mistake on the wording. IIRC Rose was sitting on the bench with the team during those games so he was still with the team although not playing.

They've made minor changes like adding Bulls.com and stuff to the trim of the court, but this is by first their first major change to the court since the UC opened. No more stupid basketball behind the Bulls logo, which I love

Went back to the 80s/90s font also. Like the Chicago 4 stars also. Not sure I dig the lighter wood, though it's hard to know about that until you see it on TV or in person.

Bulls were hoping to sneak that by the league. Hoiberg plans to focus extensively on conditioning in training camp, as he believes a marginally larger court will lead to opponents being worn out thus giving the Bulls a home court advantage.

 

In all seriousness, I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the lighter court color although I like everything else.

This is great. The NBA (I believe) requires every team to have a basketball in its primary logo. The Bulls version of that logo is lame.

What else could/should they have done? Hopefully Rose plays better, Mirotic takes a big step forward, and Hoiberg splits up Noah and Gasol. Noah can't possibly be any worse and anything McDermott gives will be more than last year.

 

The Cubs have definitely tempered my excitement over the start of the Bulls season but it'll come back as soon as the World Series is over.

Rose has now filed docs of his own in which he claims the accuser “consented to sexual interaction with more than one co-defendant on more than one occasion, consented to sexual interactions on the day in question, and invited the defendants to her apartment and buzzed them in.”

 

Rose says things were so cool the following day — the accuser casually had a cup of coffee with her roommate in the morning after the sex … and headed into work for a full shift. The implication is that a rape victim would have been way too distraught to have done any of that.

 

In the docs, Rose says the woman only began to get upset with him a few weeks or months later because she felt she should have been reimbursed for one of the sex toys she bought and used during the night in question.

Rose says the woman got even angrier with him because started ignoring her texts.
