I'm sure glad Thibs banished Mcbuckets to the gulag all season because we sure could have used another shooter today. The Bulls got nothing offensively from anyone not Rose and Butler. That's my biggest gripe is that we needed somebody to emerge this series on offense.

That 4th quarter was painful and caused me to vomit.

Yes players have developed very poorly under Thibs. He has no idea what he's doing.

That's my biggest gripe is that we needed somebody to emerge this series on offense.

In game one Rose had 25 and Butler had 20. Mike Dunleavy had 14 points. Pau Gasol had 21 points.

In game two Butler scored the most points with 18. Rose had 14. Next up were Gibson and Gasol with 11 points each.

In game three Rose went out of his mind and had 30 points. Butler had 20. Dunleavy had 16 and Mirotic had 12.

Game four is the only game in the series where Rose and Butler completely dominated the offense, so what the hell are you even complaining about?

Well, guess it would be a bit much to expect any kind of rational analysis from the guy posting this 8 hours after the game was over.

I wonder if he actually vomited.

I don't know if Thibs didn't task an extra person with trailing LeBron or if that person fell asleep. Either way, bad job, especially since he was running around close to the inbounding player. I would have doubled LeBron and left the inbounding player alone.

I read/heard somewhere, that they expected Lebron to try to get to the basket, and the plan was to deny that. Him cutting to the corner for a jumper was a surprise.

And it's not like Lebron is a lights out jump shooter (especially in this series)

The one person in the world violently vomiting over the absence of Doug McDermott. That's quite the scene.

Three - GarPax are too

And yet they willfully signed Kirk Hinrich.

Plus nobody's actually vomiting over basketball games unless they're a [expletive] lunatic.

Damn, I just saw how terrible quoted posts look from Tapatalk on the board proper. I'll steer clear of that for now.

If cubbyvrisu heroically conquered the flu AND BEING POISONED WHICH TOTALLY REALLY HAPPENED to watch the game and post his rant then I take it all back. He truly is the world's greatest hero.

Yeah...Doug McDermott wouldn't have mattered yesterday. I haven't agreed with his usage throughout the season but you can't just throw him out there when the guy hasn't played a meaningful minute in, what, months?

The bigger issue is that if you lose this series without Love, a banged up Irving, and a complete idiot coaching the Cavs, you're never going to beat LeBron. I know Gasol being out yesterday hurt the Bulls, but the Cavs have had two of their three stars about as non-existent as possible in this series. Yet, it's now a best of 3 with the Cavs having home court again. LeBron still has never lost a game against the Bulls in which he absolutely needed to have.

Also, it's great and all that Noah's trying. But I don't think I've ever seen a 7 footer as completely inept at making layups as he has been for the better part of this season.

He needs to stop shooting unless it's a dunk. It's basically a turnover if he shoots, unless Taj is there for his monster putback dunks.

McDermott wouldn't have mattered when you lose by two and could have had open threes after Rose broke down his defender?

Talking with reasoning like that doesn't make a lot of sense because we don't know how the game would've played out if McDermott played. He could've been just as bad as Mirotic was yesterday. Plus, his defense is a huge liability so who's to say Cleveland wouldn't have made more shots?

Kyrie had an MRI, confirming tendonitis in his left knee. He also has a sprained right foot.

Lebron is getting round the clock treatment on his left ankle and will play in Game 5.

No one can really score outside of LeBron and Jimmy was on him. I just don't think it's inconceivable that McDermott could have helped.

Helped with what? He didn't get much time this year and what time he did get he mostly sucked in, so now we're now we're going to play what if? with the idea of him inexplicably getting significant time AND actually contributing in a chance to go up 3-1 in the second round of the playoffs? I mean, you see how ridiculous that sounds when you see it spelled out like that, right?

I mean, I think McDermott can eventually be a guy that contributes to this team, but I only want to see him on the court in these playoffs if it's a complete blowout, like Game 2.

Pretty much; nobody disagrees that it's a war crime that Hinirch got as much time as he did during the season as opposed to McDermott getting more minutes, but it's weird how some people talk about him sometimes like there's potentially this gamechanging talent just rotting on the bench.

I find it weird that fans want to run Thibs out of town. Sure, he has his flaws but he's still one of the best three or four coaches in the NBA and you're not replacing him with anyone better.

The point was to get him meaningful minutes before the playoffs so he could have contributed. He needed minutes to find his rhythm.

McDermott got just under the number of minutes that Jimmy Butler got in his rookie season. And as good as Butler has become, he didn't enter the league that way...it took time to develop. Maybe McDermott will end up being awesome, but trying to shoehorn him in to the playoffs with around 300 minutes played in the regular season does nobody any good.

He really didn't get an unusually low amount of minutes for a rather unremarkable rookie; we were just especially bothered by it because the alternative was the walking pit of despair that is Kirk Hinirch. Odds are Doug McDermott wouldn't be a significant factor in these playoffs even if he had gotten more time.
