Bryant is lost right now

He just doubled in his last AB

Are you watching? That was a popup that got dropped.

Why is Bryant trying to inside out every pitch?

Doesn't he always kind of do that?

In the minors, he often went oppo, but he also pulled his share. Every swing I've seen in the majors he's been trying to go the other way - even on pitches in off the plate.

So Bryant has yet to hit his first homer in 2 plus weeks, The Brewers could win 2 of 3 against us at home and the Cardinals never lose even without Wainwright. Yea, sounds like Baseball as usual.

They're going to win anyway, but FWIW, Kang actually HR'd against them to tie the game just now, so we know he can in fact get a hit when the other team doesn't wear blue.

I'm sure Coghlan would have caught that, too.

We flat-out can't catch a break.

I will forgive this if we kick the [expletive] out of those punks this week.

but Kris Bryant needs to hit a home run.

why?

Because in a game that doesn't have as many anymore, he's supposed to be a big-time home run hitter. And to do that, you need to actually eventually hit a home run. Of course he will do it, but you want to see at least one. It's been more than 60 plate appearances and 55 at-bats.

Coke can just get shelled so he's the easy demotion when Grimm is ready....but I guess Germen would be the one to go down

The first part of this makes me doubt you pay much attention to baseball at all.

Not worried about the Cardinals. Bryant's lack of HRs is unusual but he's going through an adjustment period right now. When he was red hot after getting called up he hit 2-3 balls that would have been HRs in parks not named PNC.

Obviously you want the win a series against a scuffling team but that's baseball. Sometimes you win a series against a great team, sometimes you lose a series against a bad team. Not going to worry as long as we are at least hovering around .500 into July and our top guys are getting ABs and incrementally improving.
