I'm pretty sure I was linked here from a Cubs livejournal group

the livejournal entries from the 2004 cubs season are great for a laugh.

I got invited to join on day 2. SUCK IT, NEWBIES!

Cubs.com in the days when Borgie was the guy that knew stuff and sounded smart. I was also there when that guy faked his death. People were kind of pissed.

The only name I remember from Cubs.com was Mark Kanges.

Neither isn't an option? I think I found nsbb via google or yahoo or some such thing. I never posted at espn or cubs.com or any other cubs message board.

Yeah. Same here. Saw an article in my school newspaper about message boards and decided to see if there were any Cubs ones. Can't remember if this was the only one I looked at but I know it was the only one I posted on.

Yanslader or something like that just popped in my head as a cubs.com person

There was also a girl who posted a ton but I can't remember her name...

I mean, I obviously remember him here, but not from Cubs.com. My memories of that place are repressed I think.

I remember a dude named Kurt Evans posting a lot on the AOL boards and newsgroups way back in the late 90s. Not sure if he ever made his way to any of the web-based boards.

He started his own blog Goat Riders of the Apocalypse which appears to have stopped posting after the 2012 season.

Anybody ever frequent the Yahoo! Cubs and MLB chats? Those were interesting places during games in 1998/1999. But I was 10/11 at the time and I'm sure it was actually an awful place but I did not realize it.

Teencubfan. There was also Jamespear or something like that. Unless you mean Cansecofan who was actually claimed to be friends with the Canseco brothers.

I vaguely remember some sort of Cubs chat room where people could actually speak if they had mics.

That sounds like a horrible place.

Thus why it's only a vague memory. There were 12 years that would scream and cuss. It was awful.

NSBB Live. For a small annual fee, you t0o can have a 12yo Cubs fan insinuate an inappropriate relationship with your mother.
