"If Lester starts, you're in trouble". For us old guys from Cubs.com

Has to be 'your' not 'you're' to make it authentic

You're right. Can't believe I screwed that up!

1) how in the world did the ump call him safe when Rizzo basically broke Phillips's hand before it got to the base

2) why even have replay, he's out, this was not close

The "needing to be 100000% convinced to change the call" stuff really gets me.

lester kind of strikes me as the kind of guy who might be the next high profile "fu media i'm not talking to you ever" athlete

If he can survive the Boston media he can survive here.

I mean for goodness sake he tagged him in the face after his arms were flexed from touching the base

Replay is stupid if it takes 5 minutes and if you're still going to value the live, full-speed call more.

Also, let's find ways to speed up the game.

also this is exhibit WW in the 'Chris Coghlan is the most sneaky-slow player in baseball' file

Coghlan could hit .650 and I would still hate him.

What? Why? He's awesome.

He's a magnet for getting thrown out at 2b on bad calls, getting Castro called lazy by being bad at coming in on a short pop-up, and ineptly limping after triples in the gap that ruin Kyle Hendricks' ERA.

really wish we had challenged that. leadoff doubles are good.

Can we? I forget the rules, but I think we lost our right after they blew the last call + challenge

Yeah, I don't think they could.

Man, I couldn't disagree with you more.

I hate replay.

I'll just pretend we wouldn't have done anything with a RISP to make myself feel better.
