I know it's only Spring Training, but it would be nice for the Cubs to win a damn game.

 

Some sloppy play today. The Castro error seemed like a rust error, it was an in-between hop that he moved in on initially and then tried to back up and missed played it, but made two solid plays later.

 

Olt made a very nice pick at third and tried to do a barrel-roll type throw to first, but the ball was too high and pulled Rizzo off the bag.

 

Coghlan ran into a stupid out on a swinging bunt by Fowler, overran third with the play in front of him (thirdbaseman fielded and then mimed the throw, but held the ball). and then fell down trying to get back to the bag.

 

Olt's homer was to right.

 

Fowler made a spectacular catch running into the Left-Center wall. I almost would have rather had him play the ball on a hop in ST then make that catch.

Jesus the Cubs defense is abysmal. That's the second time Lake has let a ball drop in front of him and Bryant just made a throwing error with plenty of time to make the play
