Looks like Rex could have his pick of Oakland or Atlanta. Both are showing interest in him. He will get one more shot as a head coach before he has to settle for being a coordinator.

Oakland seems like a good fit. He'll get a chance to draft a nice piece for his D right off the bat and the QB already looks to be in place.

You could say the same thing about Atlanta, except the offense is much better and a known commodity.

Not as good of a draft pick though. And he'll have turnover on D for either roster.

Also for whatever it's worth the personality fit being way better.

So far just

Oakland

San Fran

New York Jets

Chicago

Atlanta

Gotta be at least a couple more right?

Jacksonville, Buffalo, NYG, Washington among possibilities.

Jacksonville won't fire Bradley... I think they'll give him at least one full year with Bortles...

Washington wouldn't be too surprising if they fired Gruden, but it is only one year in.

Coughlin has reportedly been told he will stay with NYG and I imagine Buffalo is going to stick with Marrone after a 9-7 season.

Black Monday is here, and true to expectations, the Jets fired John Idzik and Rex Ryan.

Idzik was a disaster from day one, and set the franchise back years. He did leave plenty of salary cap room for his successor, which is about the only good thing that can be said for him. He was bad at drafting and worse at free agency.

Firing Rex was a huge mistake, though. Gang Green will have a hard time finding anyone even half as good. All that talk about Jim Harbaugh was as empty as I suspected. Rex will turn up again as head coach, and soon, and will lead his new team to the playoffs... sooner than the Jets will be returning there, I fear.

So the Jets need a new GM, a new head coach, and... most of all... a quarterback. It makes no difference who occupies the front office and stands on the sideline so long as Geno Smith and Michael Vick are the choices behind center. With Rex and his defense, we only needed an adequate quarterback to win; without them, we need someone good enough to go up against Tom Brady twice a year.

The future does not look bright.

Pretty sure they already said that Gruden would be getting another year in Washington.

Strange for Snyder to handcuff himself on his favorite day of the year.

Coughlin won't get fired. He'll have to retire. Jacksonville shouldn't fire Bradley whatsoever, give him a few years to build that team. Washington has said Gruden will be back (RGIII also). Buffalo was the "first team out". I think if they can get a QB, they'll be in contention. Of course, they traded their #1 for Watkins so.....

i love how badly the QB situation in washington has gotten. give up a million picks to take RG3, then take Cousins because you just cant have enough good QBs, and now you have 0 good QBs! Colt McCoy is your best option! THIS IS EXTREMELY GOOD [expletive]
