The Red Zone channel seems to be weirdly off today. They keep ignoring red zone opportunities to show non red zone opportunities and for some reason seem to be obsessed with this Giants-Rams game. It seems to be their go to game when nothing else is happening which is bizarre since it's the only game on right now with no playoff implications

The Colts are the "good, bad team" that Simmons always talks about.

Good at QB, bad at catching and tackling?

The team that has a good record, but only beats bad teams and doesn't beat good ones.

Stupid panthers winning, meaning we can't have a 6 win NFC South champ

We could if the Saints lose and Falcons and Panthers tie.

Panthers clinch with a tie regardless of the Saints.

They would still be a six-win NFC South champ.

Yes, but we would be the champ regardless of what the Saints did. UMF's post implied otherwise.

If the Panthers win next week won't that be the first time the NFC South has had a repeat champion?

Yes. Each team has won it three times in its current alignment and never twice in a row.

So barring St. Louis winning in Seattle, we're looking at:

1. Seattle

2. Detroit/Green Bay winner

Arizona at Carolina/Atlanta winner

Green Bay/Detroit loser at Dallas

Denver and New England will get byes in the AFC unless Denver loses at Cincinnati and at home to Oakland. Pittsburgh and Indy are in but the specific seeds depends on what else happens. And San Diego is in with a win.

Sucks. Dallas could have the same record as the #1 seed with a victory over them head to head, not get a bye, and face an 11 win team instead of the sub .500 team.

Or even an Arizona team starting its third string QB.

Looks like even if Seattle loses, they'd need Arizona to lose also to get a bye.

Or a GB/Detroit tie and Dallas win. I would gladly take Arizona. Now I am hoping for a GB win and play the Lions. I'm guessing Dallas just rests a lot of guys since the games of importance are all after they play.

The Seahawks should just be given a bye to the NFC Championship.

The "non-touchdown" that would have put the Saints ahead late in the game. They actually reviewed this with this exact same angle and said he didn't cross the plane. For those who didn't see it, after he thought he was across the ball was stripped and recovered by the Falcons. Even Mike Pereria was stunned.

The only way Seattle wouldn't really have a bye to the title game is if Detroit could manage to beat Dallas in the Wild Card game. I still think Seattle would beat Detroit, but that would obviously be much more of a challenge than Arizona or Carolina/ATL.

Of course, that's assuming that the Packers beat the Lions which shouldn't be a given considering how inept they looked in Detroit earlier this season.
