Having fun yet, UMF?

Just glad NU spared us the possibility of another overtime game this year.

Can't believe this UM team is a win from being bowl eligible

I think I'd take the safety here.

If you don't, Auburn's going to have amazing field position but a field goal only sends the game to OT.

If you do, Auburn likely gets significantly worse field position but a field goal ends the game.

LOL Auburn.

So much for them in the playoff.

I know there are better games on TV but Shaq Thompson and Myles Jack (in his homecoming) are going up against each other and they're both playing RB and LB.

Jack just had an incredible touchdown run:

Pac-12 refs, man. They blew a play dead saying there were 12 men on the field, immediately after the Huskies had tipped their hand on a fake punt attempt and were about to snap the ball. Then the refs realized there actually were only 11 players on the field and reversed the penalty.

Weird to think after the start of the season and 3 SEC teams ranked in the initial top 4 that there is still a quasi reasonable scenario out there to have no SEC teams in the playoff. It would involve lots of moving parts, but no single step is crazy.

Step 1: Games hold the way they are at the moment (LSU beats Alabama, TCU wins, Michigan State wins)

Step 2: Mississippi State loses two of the three games between at Alabama, at Ole Miss, and the SEC title game.

Step 3: TCU, Oregon/Arizona State, Michigan State, and Florida State win out (the only ranked teams each of them play are Oregon at Utah tonight, Arizona State at Arizona, and Michigan State vs Nebraska in a Big 10 title game).

That isn't all that likely to happen, but it's an interesting scenario.

Is this some sort of protest against a playoff in college football or are there just no great teams this year?

The latter I think. Mississippi State is probably the closest to a great team and even they needed Auburn to collapse on itself in the first quarter to give them a lead.

I missed the second half of ND/ASU due to a work thing. I wish I could've bet on "ND will rally, then fall short by less than the margin of Everett Golson's first-quarter charity gift" in Vegas, because that was the most predictable [expletive] thing ever. (I'm not counting ASU's running-up-the-score TD, though I have no issue with it.)

And they are nowhere near great in reality. Auburn spotted them 14 points in literally the first minute of the game. They played LSU before the youthful Tigers started putting things together and still nearly blew that game. Their defense is atrocious. They have Prescott and that's it. They'll lose in Tuscaloosa and Oxford.

If LSU wins this game, the West is gonna be a complete cluster at the end of the season.
