NO. BASICALLY ONE BAD QUARTER MEANS BAD TEAM.

The 1st game of that back to back they nearly lost to a team trying to lose 82 games. They've really played 1 good game all season, the Knicks game. They'd probably be 1-6 right now if they played actual good teams every night.

There are 6 new players on the roster, and their 2 best players have been hurt a majority of those 7 games (Noah is playing but ineffective most of the time)

Despite this they have been playing great offensively, an area the Bulls struggle without Rose.

I'm not sure what the concern is...are you worried they will win less than the 47 they won last year?

Buncha new players, Rose is still working back and Noah is hurting. AND THEY WON THOSE GAMES.

They'd be 0-7 right now if they lost all of the games.

Insipid.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone draw more conclusions from the first 7 games of the NBA season. There's better arguments that they've played they are overworking some of their guys than that they aren't a good team.

So people are still harping on the regular season, even though the last several years have proven that the regular season doesn't mean [expletive]. Got it.

None of this stuff matters right now. The biggest concern (and it has been for the last few years, obviously) is Rose's durability. How can anybody think that the guy won't get hurt in the playoffs when he can't play in two consecutive games without tweaking something? If by some act of god he is actually healthy when the playoffs start, they'll have a shot to come out of the East. If he's not, then they don't. Don't waste your energy freaking out about games that don't mean much of anything.

Everything you said about Rose is accurate.

But teams need regular seasons to develop chemistry and young guys who will be expected to be major contributors in the playoffs need seasoning. This idea that the NBA regular season means nothing is parroted way too often. Teams don't magically enter the playoffs as finished products.

Would have been nice to put them away and win by a lot instead of having it be close at the end but they did a lot of things well tonight.

Gasol and Dunleavy both played 35 minutes tonight. Would it kill Thibs to give a few extra minutes to McDermott and Mirotic? They played 5 minutes each. Snell didn't play at all. Hell, Taj only played 24.

EDIT: I realize he was playing the match-up tonight and was concerned with the size of the Pistons' front line, but he does this a lot.

In fairness, though, Nick Friedell is also an idiot, and a creeper.
