How did that happen? Wow. [expletive] way for Ole Miss to lose

Yea I can understand a quick sideline route to make it an easier kick but a shot at the end zone might last longer than 9 seconds (or obviously get picked off)

Brian Kelly is probably watching this ASU-Washington game and scoffing at the wind.

Nice one, Hugh. Glad I paid legal tender to watch him brain fart like that.

I expect [expletive] like that out of Les Miles.

Stewart Mandel said if Les had done that, it would've worked. Hard to argue.

Hahahahahaha, Sarkisian. Cost them the game.

Next time don't be too good for the FG.

Besides, even a hater like me would want to see them get to the Miss St game undefeated so America can watch the fans of those two teams turn Mississippi into (even more of a) post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Unfortunately I don't think that'll happen. The Rebels will trip up at least once (although it's really, really hard to score against that defense, so maybe they won't trip up) and I'm having a hard time imagining Mississippi State winning in Tuscaloosa.

At this point, I think the playoff will be

FSU

Oregon

SEC West winner (one loss Ole Miss because of tie-break over Bama)

SEC West one-loss team (Bama)

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that UGA is going to make it into the playoff by winning the SECCG. I think we (FSU) make it as well.

With the upcoming SEC West schedule, there's a possibility that all the teams will have 2 losses, which might shut them out of the playoff and let in two of Oregon, MSU, and ND.

But there is A LOT of football to be played at this point, and many different scenarios could happen, including where there are no undefeated teams and many 2-loss teams.

So apparently Utah ran an obvious pick play on their game winning TD that of course wasn't flagged. I didn't need to know that.

I wish only misfortune on laquon treadwell.

I know I'm an idiot but I am the only one who think the Tide are the best in the country?

Amari Cooper may be the best player in the country. That swing pass in the first quarter he took to the house will be shown over and over come draft time.

That Bama/Miss St game will tell the tale for me, and then the SEC-CG against Georgia. I want to put Mich St up there too maybe.

If you're still upset because he choose Ole miss over Illinois you're completely out of touch with reality. Obviously he made the right choice.

So I guess it's a mistake for any kid to pick illinois then. That's stupid. Dudek and Allison are having great years. Besides, Illinois has as many receivers in the pros as OleMiss, if not more. Illinois actually has 8 more active pros than OleMiss so [expletive] your SEC bias.

I can still wish misfortune on him.

Illinois puts a surprising amount of kids in the NFL.

I can still wish misfortune on him.

I think it's stupid to get upset when the top WR prospect in the country picks a school other than a below average power conference school. This is magnified by Beckman's awful 1st year.

Should NU fans be more upset since its closer there?

kids can keep on ignoring illinois and the kids that go there will keep becoming pros.

I ain't that mad, though. Dudek and Allison are a pretty fantastic freshmen pair that will likely end up playing as many Sundays as treadwell.

I wish only misfortune on laquon treadwell.

Heh, you had to re-edit your post about Illinois pros vs Ole miss pros? Have you looked at the talent differences between the teams?

If Treadwell picked FSU, I would say question you the same.

Fwiw, Illinois is getting overlooked because they've been bad.

Have to get someone in there who can recruit despite them being bad. Beckman isn't the answer.

Beckman is a fine recruiter. Illinois is recruiting more or less at the level of Wisconsin and Iowa right now. They are in the mix in that second tier of BT teams.

Only sustained success can take them higher than that. But the state produces a lot of surplus talent in the form of 3 - star kids that could make the jump. They will have to get there with those types. Beckman may not be the one to do it, but Beckman doesn't do much anyway.

Last year, they had the worst recruiting class in the big ten. '13 was decent at 47, 15' is looking better at around 50.

You need an elite recruiter who can recruit nationally or at least regionally. You get too spastic about state lines. Being the top recruiter in Illinois isn't going to get them where they need to be.

Hugh Freeze is really starting to piss me and a lot of other people off with his uber-conservative "play not to lose" mindset. At a certain point you have to open your offense up and score points. Instead, as everyone saw last night he still runs the ball right up the middle on first down with our tiny scat backs. Half the damn offensive series had a 2nd and 12 or 2nd and 13.
