need to clear up backup RB glut for bye fill-ins; who's the best drop candidate here (1/2 PPR)

T Richardson (week 10 bye)

P Thomas (6)

J Bell (9)

S Vereen (10)

B Rainey (7)

leaning Rainey, i think

I'd go that route just because the Bucs aren't likely to do much offensively in general. I did hear Matthew Berry say he was a sleeper for him though because he thinks Martin will get benched for not being any good, but TTFWIW.

yeah, we've got a short bench, so i still think i can pick him up after his week 7 bye, provided he doesn't blow up before then (unlikely)

if Ingram hadn't gone down, it'd be a really easy call

Who do I drop (10 team with 2 flex spots, non-PPR, standard scoring):

Terrance West

Kendall Wright

Alfred Blue

Justin Hunter

I'm leaning toward Wright, but that's based off of hoping a couple of veterans don't get healthy (Tate and Arian). If either of them will be healthy, their backup is virtually useless. Hunter would seem logical, but he has more upside than Wright and their current totals haven't been that different (other than a big week 1 for Wright).

I think Wright has some solid upside. He finished last year really strong as a waiver wire pickup for me and I had him and Keenan Allen in the lineup every week down the stretch after all my WR got hurt. I'd drop Hunter or Blue (who I've never even heard of!).

Haha, I'd heard mentions of Blue prior to Arian's injury but that was it. Knew nothing about him though. I'm starting to think dropping Blue is the best option, since even though Arian is day to day, I'd guess he's likely to play.

I'm trying to separate my likely Titans bias from my evaluation of Wright, though. I see him as a useful flex player, but I seem to usually have a higher opinion of him than most.

I hate Richardson, but I may still be really bitter over last year

yeah, he's terrible, but he's probably an inevitable Ahmad Bradshaw injury away from top-10 status

I won't be starting either of them this week unless Roddy White doesn't play. It's a keeper league (half PPR)... which one should I keep on my roster?

Alfred Blue

Bishop Sankey

I have Charles as well, and while it's a bit scary with him going on MNF, Reid did say today that he expects him to play. My next best options are McFadden, Forsett, and Blount, so I'll be rolling the dice with Charles for sure.

Bernard Pierce was just dropped in my league. Worth a claim and going to the back of the priority line? I'd like to think Taliaferro was just a fluke but that's probably wishful thinking.

I'd go Sankey - it'd take an injury for Blue to see the field consistently, while it'll just take Sankey developing to the coaching staff's desire for him to start. Shonn Greene isn't good.

Disclaimer: I'm a Titan fan and like Sankey a lot, but I don't think I'm being biased when I say Sankey has a much better chance of being a feature back this season than Blue.

Pierce is worth a flier if you're not dropping anybody of real value. I don't think Taliaferro is a fluke from the standpoint of producing when given a chance. I simply don't know that Harbaugh would play Taliaferro now over a healthy Pierce.

Peterson got dropped in my league

is there really that small of a chance he's going to return this season, or should i be sinking a decent amount of my FAAB on him?

He was dropped in one of my leagues and I snagged him, figuring he's worth stashing. It's definitely sounding like it's all but a foregone conclusion he'll be out most or all of the season, though.

I'm planning on dropping him in both the leagues I have him soon. I just don't see how he plays this year. The trial isn't until after the year, and the Vikings rushing him back before the trial doesn't seem at all likely. If he pleas, the NFL plans to hit him with a severe suspension. That means he would have to reach a plea deal soon to have any chance of seeing the field this year, and the reports are that there are no talks of a plea deal. The chances of the charges being dropped in this case don't seem very likely because it is based on physical evidence more than eyewitness testimony, and both sides seem to be stipulating to most of the facts.

It may have been decided and I missed it, but rumor was Peterson's camp was trying to move the trial up sooner. No idea when it would be, but that could - potentially - have him come back very late in the year.

Chris Mortensen just said everything he's hearing is that league sources and team sources both think it's a pretty big longshot that Peterson would play again this year. I'd say that's enough of an endorsement to drop him.

Dang, not one carry yesterday. Thankfully I let him pass through waivers before picking him up, so I'm not out anything. I have Forsett as well, which appears to be good enough now.

Yeah, I'm not going to guess on the Ravens backfield anymore. The guy I thought would be last on the pecking order soon had the biggest day yesterday (Forsett). I hate 3-headed monsters at RB.
