Got to go with Alshon assuming health. I like Watkins, but have no real confidence in him from week to week.

 

My question is more soliciting advice - should I keep CJ Spiller in the two leagues I have him in and hope he keeps playing well or look to sell high? And if I sell, what is good value for him in a standard, non-PPR league?

Yeah, I meant to qualify it with if it looks like Alshon is going to play but misses some practice this week as he clearly was a bit hobbled out there.

 

What are your areas of need in your league with Spiller and is it a keeper?

I think it's too early to sell high on pretty much anyone. People are too leery to trade this early.

What do ya'll think about Donald Brown? I've got him or T.Y. Hilton for a flex spot. A somewhat hurt Roddy White on a short week and Colston are also options there, but I'm stuck deciding between Brown / Hilton.

Brown might be a good call this week. The Bills defense looks good, but Forte put up good numbers on the ground and in the air. Unfortunately for Brown, Woodhead will get the catches.

 

If it was me, I'd probably go with Hilton.

What are your areas of need in your league with Spiller and is it a keeper?

 

Ultimately I want to upgrade RB, but I'd probably target a WR and then try to spin maybe Crabtree for a RB (very preliminary idea). It is a keeper league (keep 3 and forfeit 1 round from start of draft for each that you keep) and I've got 2 set in stone - Lacy, Dez - and 1 basically set in stone - Peyton.

You're probably right. I'm just terrified that Spiller will turn into last year's version if I wait too long.

AJ Green likely not playing is a big reason I prefer Cousins. I also think WSH will have to put up some points and pass a lot to keep up with PHI.

It depends on if McCourty plays or not. The Titans were containing Dez pretty well until McCourty got hurt. After that, he just made Blidi-Wreh and Sensabaugh look foolish.

 

Latest word is that McCourty "did some stuff in practice today."

I'm also not huge on the Eagles D, but it'll probably be another game-time decision for this QB-disaster I call a fantasy team.

Dalton had 250 and a TD without Green last week. 300 and a TD with Green in Week 1.

 

Cousins has struggled when getting extended playing time. Has never really put together back-to-back strong games.

Gore is a pretty safe play. Solid, but unspectacular. If Martin does play, I imagine he'll split a bunch of carries with Rainey, who was pretty good last week in Martin's absence.

I LOVE Vereen but was so pissed that Belichick went with Ridley. Maybe he didn't want to risk Vereen as the game was a blowout in the 4th? I hope that's the case.

I've got Martin/Tate in the lineup now and am comfortable with Tate but not really Martin. I have no clue what's going to happen with Martin/Rainey tonight. Should I start Martin/Rainey both assuming it will be RBBC against a bad Atlanta rush defense? Or start neither until the situation sorts itself out?

Thursday Update: It appears Rainey's monster Week 2 effort did, indeed, change minds. Despite reports Martin handled more first-team practice reps this week, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times told Ross Tucker on Sirius XM Radio Thursday morning that Rainey will start at Atlanta. "The coaches really like him," Stroud said of Rainey. For now, at least, it appears Rainey has passed Martin on the Bucs' running back depth chart. In November of last season, Rainey hung a 30-163-2 rushing line on Falcons DC Mike Nolan's defense, adding two receptions for four yards and a third score. Rainey should be viewed as a strong RB2 play in this plus matchup. Martin is downgraded to an RB3 until further notice.

Now Ian Rapoport is saying Martin won't even play. That makes my decision pretty easy...
