LOL THEY CALLED THE GAME

Rich Aurillia just said on Comcast Bay Area that the Cardinals called the commissioners office demanding this game be called and the Cubs declared winner.

So either the grounds crew suddenly became stunningly incompetent at their jobs when no major issues had ever been noticed in plenty of previous inclement weather instances or this was just an unfortunate confluence of events that wasn't really avoidable after a crazy heavy storm cell popped up and the umpires waited a bit too long to call for the tarp.

[WATCH] #Cubs Rizzo, Baker sing Eddie Vedder's "All the Way" in the dugout during delay: http://bit.ly/1pZucbj

i'm really starting to like baker way too much for how shitty he is

Whatever, Baker is awesome. He has no delusions about his talent as a ball player, he's just enjoying life. The dugout this year does seem pretty upbeat though, so that's nice. It's a fun roster for a 90 loss team.

so your generic giants meatball is not so happy

The Cubs ineptitude literally extends to every facet of the organization. Front office, players, coaches, Wrigley is a dump, and now the [expletive] grounds crew can't put A [expletive] TARP ON THE FIELD. RAKE THE DIRT AND PUT A TARP ON THE FIELD WHEN IT RAINS, that's your entire job. It's not like you have to do some [expletive] math equation to figure out where the damn thing goes, it's already lined up with the field...What the actual [expletive]...how do you even mess that up. I'm sorry your piece of [expletive] team hasn't been relevant in over 100 years, but that doesn't give you passage to louse up games for other teams that actually make the playoffs. The Cubs might as well be Triple A team because they're never going to be anything other than cellar dwellers. Rightfully so.

Why the hell do the Cubs care so much about this that they would intentionally screw over the Giants for a win? We're playing for nothing.

I guess Krukow actually said this on the air and he was completely serious. After they came back from commercial, he apologized and said he was wrong to say it.
