@MLB PLEASE STOP SUCKING HIS DICK! PLEASE. THE KID IS TALENTED BUT IS NOT THAT [expletive] GOOD! PLEASE GET HIS DICK OUT OF YOUR MOUTH

And this is why I hate Mets fans and that stupid organization. I can't wait until their prospects all blow out their arms and they have to trade Harvey because they employ and idiot manager that can't stop blasting him in the media.

if pressed to make a determination, i'd say right now that i expect that Baez will probably settle into a Soriano-like (the Cubs incarnation) career, with huge slumps and scorching hot streaks

And at a middle infield position with 6 years of team control, that is an EXTREMELY valuable asset.

Soriano at Baez's age was also playing second base.

But to be fair, he said he envisioned a career like Soriano's Cubs one, not Yanks.

Also, to be fair he wasn't at 2nd, Soriano was at short and playing in the minors for two more years.

I think Javi is going to be a Warren Buffett version of Soriano.

Javier Baez has joined Jason Kipnis as the only players in the last 100 years to hit 5+ HR as a 2B in their 1st 14 career games

Also from B-R:

Anthony Rizzo now has 4 go-ahead HR in the 7th inning or later this season (most in MLB). It's most by Cub since Soriano (5) in 2009

Didn't get to see the game. It looks like Hendricks had some good BABIP luck. And I read he didn't have his best command -- also noticed a lack of the usual amount of ground balls. Were the Mets squaring up balls on him, or still a lot of weak contact?
