I don't care; I demand he start next year with the team.

That sounds a little less crazy than it did a month ago. Or maybe I'm a little more crazy.

Desperate times call for delicious measures.

He can probably out produce Schierholtz right now.

These new Cubans, man...they just jump right in. I know because of his age he didn't play at the levels the others got to, but when he hasn't been hurt he just is pure awesome. Fast track, dammit.

I wonder if the number of people following Russell on twitter doubling since the trade and all the well wishers posting on his feed might have caused him to put a little extra pressure on himself. Stupid twitter.

Well yeah, but Darnwin Barney has out produced Schierholtz.

I think Soler will be a September call up and up for good in 2015.

I'm hoping it's more like July. Starting with the big club wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Might as well start getting the rough transition early. I'd love to see them bring multiple guys up at one time to diffuse the pressure and create a fraternity.

Start of 2015:

Alcantara (CF/2B)

Valbuena (3B)

Rizzo (1B)

Castro (SS)

Soler (RF)

Sweeny/Ruggiano (LF/LF and CF when Al Contra @ 2B)

May 2015:

Alcantara (CF - super sub)

Rizzo (1B)

Bryant (LF)

Castro (SS/2B)

Soler (RF)

Baez (3B)

Russell (2B/SS)

That's a hell of a lineup to dream about and it's plausible 10 months (or less) than now. I feel Baez ends up at 3B if Russell is ready at the same time, which pushes Bryant to the OF (not that he couldn't still occasionally play 3B). I don't know who to prefer at SS vs 2B in regards to Castro and Russell (basing all the minor league D via scouting, which is extremely subjective and conflicting) so I just left that up in the air.

I'm just hoping that IF he stays healthy they fast track him. It will spark excitement for the soon-to-arrive wave of Baez/Bryant/Russell and, like you said, hopefully curb his transition while the others cut their teeth. IF he continues to be a monster (and if he stays healthy we've yet to see any indication at all of the contrary), they don't have the same service time issues with him as with the others (I know there are still considerations but not as much as the IF prospects). It just seems logical and likely to me if he keeps beasting like he's been. Though, I know that's far from ever being a sure thing.
