Does anyone know if this game is subject to blackout? I'm getting the dumb braves/nats game.

I thought I remembered the fox blackout had gone away?

If anyone cares (probably not) it appears they did indeed do away with any "fox Saturday" blackouts for MLB.tv.

Radar looks like rain should be ending sometime soon. Maybe a 8:00 start?

That old blackout rule is why I had to listen to a staticy radio feed in the car in our driveway with pouring down rain to keep up with the Cubs clinching the division in 2003.

The original tweets called for 8:00 start so you sorta win.

Polanco is 4 for 19 with 5 Ks against the Cubs, 14 for 31 with 2 Ks and a 1.081 OPS against everyone else.

That fangraphs piece about Arrieta and his cutter linked to other pieces they've written about cutters. Anyway, one pitching coach said if a cutter is thrown properly it should be just about as fast as the 4-seamer but if it's consistently 4ish MPH less than the fastball it's being thrown wrong and can hurt velocity. That pretty much describes Wood; he takes a lot off his cutter.
