How did "Arizona" get on national TV?

It still pisses me off they kept that team.

.

It does piss me off. But this year the Hawks are playing out there again during spring training, looks like I will have to make my Cubs trip that week. It really is a nice stadium in a nice area with bars and restaurants and free parking. It will be filled with Hawks fans. The problem with the Coyotes is its so far away from the center of metro Phoenix, so people in the East Valley have to drive 50 miles to see a game. The Cardinals play right near there as well, but most of their games are on Sunday's when traffic isn't bad.

yeah i never understood why they built their stadium in the far upper left corner of a sprawling, fairly evenly populated metro area.

Yeah there's no way I would drive up there on a weeknight. The complex itself is nice, but yeah, just dumb. I hope they make it work, I guess, since Quebec is likely going to get an expansion team soon anyway and there's no hope for KC. Nor should there be, really.

I know they want to balance out the conferences but if Quebec gets a team does Detroit move back? I doubt it, I guess Columbus? Seattle probably gets the other team or maybe Las Vegas.

I hope Seattle gets a team so they can build that arena and get the Sonics back. Seattle IMO is a 4 sport city, its a travesty they only have 2 teams (and the Sounders who they treat like a big 4 team)

What a douche!

Flat brimmed hats should come with a warning label so kids like this won't look like a douche when they stand next to Patrick Kane.

So, the Hawks signed Michael Leighton to a one-year deal for goaltending depth. Yes, that Michael Leighton. Kane will have some fun with him I'm sure.

Yeah, I don't get this. Raanta goes to Rockford so he can play more maybe?

Beat guys on Twitter are saying no, Raanta remains the backup and Leighton will go to Rockford and be there in case of injury.

Tickets go on sale at 10.

Got tickets to the only 5pm Sunday start of the season (January 18 vs. the Stars). Sounded like a great idea for bringing very young kids that go to bed around 8, but just realized that could conflict with a possible 2pm NFC championship game for the Bears. Wonder if that actually happened if they would move the Hawks game back an hour or so? I hope this is something I have to worry about.

That happened in 2011 when Bears played GB at 2pm. Hawks were supposed to play Philadelphia at 2pm, so they moved the game to 1130am.

I remember listening to that game on my phone as I was walking around Soldier Field to get to my seat. The Hawks got killed and the Bears lost. SOB

Ha! I was at that game too. Sat in front of an obnoxious female Packer fan who sounded like she smoked 4 packs of cigarettes a day for 40 years. I turned around and she was about 25 years old. Terrible day.

That's every female Packers fan ever. FWIW, I believe it would be the NFC's turn for the "late" championship game this year so potentially could have games at the exact same time. Guessing Hawks get moved to earlier if that's the case.

I bought a single ticket during the week of the game when I happened to stumble on extra tickets released, so i went by myself. I am not kidding you that if you drew a Brady Bunch style box around me, except expanded it to a second level, every single person in that box was a Packers fan except me in the middle with my Bears jersey.

They were annoying but not too bad overall. Did give me a hard time about Jay not playing though.
