I only watch every so often. I'd rather watch Shark than the guys in the pen.

Speaking of Bonifacio, please try and make a play and don't leave Barney to kill himself, no matter the ancillary benefits to such a scenario

Speaking of Bonifacio, I just got a text from a friend that wants to trade Castro ASAP so they can plug in Bonifacio or Baez at SS and that today was more "proof" that Castro "still sucks."

I am angered.

You need new friends.

Most of my non Cubs fan friends are super cool when it comes to baseball. I can count on one hand the number of Cubs fan friends that don't make me want to push them on to a landmine.

I actually have an otherwise very intelligent baseball-minded friend that's been beating the drum that the Cubs ought to trade Castro for years because he thinks his perceived value is higher than his actual value. It befuddles me.

Manny would teach Rizzo to use the whole field.

What about today was proof that Castro sucks?

It's a smarter breed of baseball fan that now values OBP but is behind the times with the new offensive environment and doesn't understand positional value (+ his age).

5-6 years ago i would've looked at Castro's numbers and would've been like "meh?"

Just that he want O-fer. I asked what the home run last night meant and he said it was a fluke. I pointed out how hard he was still driving the ball and mostly hitting into bad luck and he said that "the numbers are deceptive."

I'm sorry it would be downright hilarious if we blew this. I'm not rooting for it or anything but... Edited by UMFan83

Nobody's actually excited over a bullpen guy; that's just David being cute.

No. They are filthy. I enjoy watching them pitch.

Was getting tired of the whole, "X number of starts without a win" for Shark. Hopefully this is the start of him stringing together a few wins.

I'm taking full credit for this win.

Yes, that's right...he loves Bonifacio, but can't stand Castro's "deceptive" numbers.

Bonifacio's line since May 1 is .205/.233/.289. Ask him if those numbers are also deceptive.

He said all that matters in the end is what their totals are.

I'd take that bet.
