I just turned on the Smokies game and the announcer said hamstring strain. Nothing about cramps FWIW.

Damn. Brett RT'ed someone saying cramps, that's where I got that. Not sure how much info that person actually had.

These are the opposing announcers so they could just be making something up too. The only thing I saw on Twitter mentioned them looking at his calf, so there's still a chance it could be.

If Rivero ever has to hit, instead of using a bat, would he be allowed to take a ball into the batter's box and throw that ball at the pitcher's ball? He'd be unstoppable.

Javy needs to be sent down to Tennessee. This is getting ridiculous.

Maybe they should try dropping him in the order first...not going to learn how to handle breaking pitches in AA as well as he could in AAA.

In other news, BJax with the golden sombrero tonight.

@BroadcasterMick: Cubs prospect Jorge Soler left tonight's game with hamstring tightness. He tweeted it making a play on a ball hit to right field.

@BroadcasterMick: Soler made a great catch to take away an extra base hit in the 4th then seemed bothered by the Hamstring. He then left the game.

Think Mick Gillispie meant tweaked, not tweeted.

Piling on one more stat for the start to Hendricks' year:

20 BB

Also for fun:

Hatley + Parker have a combined 35 strikeouts in only 25 IP. But they have given up a combined two walks in that time.

Heck, Jeffry Antigua of all people has a 9:1 K:BB ratio in ten innings, too.

Armando Rivero has 35/8 through 22. Not sure why he isn't at AAA yet.

With all the teams hurting for starting pitching, I'm not sure why they don't shop Villanueva and call one of these guys up.
