He's a quicker leaper than I thought. Not easy to get up to block two shots like that.

How does his leaping compare to Adam Morrison or Wally Szerbiak?

There are gonna be a lot of disappointed bulls fans when McDermott plays in a real nba game. Quick leaper? If he turns out to be mike miller I will be very happy.

Can we get a youtube clip of Cameron Bairstow getting a rebound? Does he comp I charles Oakley?

Has anybody read anything on how well Bairstow has been playing? Is he going to take Nazr's 7 minutes per game?

No just that McDermott is gonna be posting dudes up, draining threes from everywhere, creating off the dribble and a legit nba shotblocker.

I've read he's been impressive defensively and rebounding. Believe it said, he's NBA ready now based on his build and defense, but probably won't get much time this year.

He's 6 more fouls off the bench of we need them. And a hack goon in the old-Kurt Thomas mold if we need one.

He's what a second round pick should be used on. A big body, weight room monster that will never get the ball.

That is a bit exaggerated. If he fills the kyle korver roll that will be good. No one thinks he is going to be blocking people regularly. I hope he can pass defensively--but I think in Thibs' system he will be fine. We have had a lot of players who aren't that good defensively fit in and still have a good overall D.

I have watched all of the SL games and I like that he knows how to move around to try to get open. He is constantly moving, setting screens for pick and pops and of course has been shooting really well. He isn't going to be posting up all the time, but on some switches on picks, if a smaller defender switched to him, he immediately backed them down and called out "post post." This last game, he seemed to be making a concerted effort to take the ball to the rim or make good cuts toward the rim. I know it is summer league and it will be different when the NBA season starts, but he and someone like rose are only going to help each other. He draws a lot of attention for his shooting which creates better spacing... or people collapse on rose as he drives and McDermott will nail the 3. I also think that McDermott will benefit once the season starts in that there will be a real offensive system with plays that will put him in good positions. The SL is a lot of up and down with bad shots by guys who want to get a contract in Europe. In fact, in this last game, there were a ton of times he was open with his hands up calling for the ball at the 3-pt line and one of the random players would put up a bad contested shot instead. As I think David said, I believe his floor is basically what Korver gave us and that is extremely valuable.

I also watched a few of Denver's games and I will say that nothing Gary Harris did changed my opinion that he isn't very good. He is fine defensively (which matters obviously, but not as much for the bulls), but offensively he does a lot of standing around a few feet behind the 3-point line, not making his defender work. He did have a good shooting 1st game, but he has been 1/12, 6/20, and 5/18 on FG's since, and 0/4, 1/7, and 2/6 from 3 since. Also, it isn't just that he has missed shots, he misses all over the place. I have seen him airball over the rim, airball short a couple of times, clank where the rim meets the backboard, hit the front of the rim when he is shooting from the side of the court, etc. For someone who was supposed to be a good defense and good shooter guy, I don't think he is much of a good shooter--especially if there is anyone pressuring him.

So how does he compare to other white guys? Shouldn't we be more concerned about how he compares to current players?

All I said was that he is quicker than I thought. I didn't comp him to anyone. I'm not sure how that will translate, and neither are you.

Among USA Basketball Select Team invitees to Las Vegas, sources tell Yahoo. Marcus Smart, Doug McDermott, Victor Oladipo, Tobias Harris.

God. You did?

Just the bulls ones. I taped them and fast forward through a lot, like free throws, or if McDermott isn't in. I can get through them pretty quickly. But yeah it isn't something I'm proud of.

Yup. This is exactly what I was bitching about earlier in the thread. Their love for Hinrich is completely irrational.

Except the part where Thibs is an awesome coach and Dusty is awful.

Thibs isn't Dusty, but that doesn't mean he isn't completely wrong about Hinrich. He is.

You must have missed my earlier post where I showed his PER's over the last two years. You should also look up his TS% and TOV%. He sucks.
