Renteria: “I know people want to see Olt play. It’s not an accident that he had success when we put him out there in the right situations."

"success"

oh you're backing down off the Olt pole again?

A .762 OPS is success. Unsustainable success. But success nonetheless.

Not when it's accumulated in a way that highlights the limitations of OPS.

Sheesh, his wOBA jumped overnight though. Nevermind.

Somehow the Cubs have convinced people that this 100 year thing is a thing that matters and is worth being a premium ticket for a Wednesday April day game...I'm amazed. I never gave more than 5 seconds of thought to going to this game.

Looks like the area is pretty packed right now.

well, I am paying more attention than I would for any other mid-April day game, but that probably has more to do with 2 wins than 100 years.

I considered going for the jersey but upon further reflection realized it would probably be huge and any 30,000 other people would have the same jersey as me making me look like a tool whenever I'd wear it to a game

I didn't realize this was the actual birthday until yesterday, which makes my ticket search for this series make a lot more sense. I would've preferred the day game even without the giveaway and festivities, but not for 6x the cost.
