@daytonacubs: After a 2-out error, Jake Arrieta surrendered a 2-run home run (unearned)to right (w/ the jet stream) to put the Threshers up 2-0 after 1.

Why is Arrieta pitching for Daytona? Did I miss something?

Alcantara HR followed by a Javy single. The I-Cubs are facing old friend Scott Baker.

I just think that's where they felt it lined up best (for whatever reason) for his last rehab start?

Our pitching, as a whole, is taking a few steps forward. Lots to like so far.

Outside of Kris Bryant, our pitching has been more exciting than our offense right now.

Len said something the other day about it being easier for him to get loose coming off the injury in Daytona since it's warmer.

Baez HBP on the wrist. Stayed in the game though.

I hope the rest of the team charged the mound.

Vizcaino with the save. When's a good time for him to come up?

I'm kinda in Kyle's camp on this one. Who knows how many bullets he has? Let's use them in the majors instead of the minors.

They're waiting for him to go on back-to-back nights before he's promoted.

baez is not one of the top five hitters in the organization today. he's still doing that thing where he forgets how to hit when he starts a new level. if you put him in chicago today he'd hit like .075 (but the only hits would be home runs, so that would be kind of cool).

LOL Baez will put up a line like .080/.120/.500 in his first 50 MLB PAs.

Baez does whatever the [expletive] he wants including putting up impossible BA/SLG ratios.
