I'm surprised no one mentioned this on the broadcast or in this thread. I didn't see quick throw the bottle but I thought it was odd the bottle was on the middle of the ice right before the face off. Now we know why. For reference this was in OT after the Kings iced it during a really long shift for their top line. This bought them an extra 15 seconds or so. Can you give a penalty for this??

Yes. That's a blatant delay of game penalty. I saw it happen right away and was completely confused as to how the refs could allow Quick just rolling the water bottle out there.

 

I'm not blaming the loss on that by any stretch but that was pretty frustrating.
