I went ahead and doubled up everybody who requested and between that and UK taking the Bills, we're down to 9 teams to fill. Raw and sulley - since both of you asked for Houston and raw gave me a third team, I gave sulley Houston and raw got the steelers.

 

I figure I'll give it til Wednesday morning and then we can triple up or something. We probably shouldn't start much later than that.

Leaves just Pats and Fins. Fins to Raisin since they pick sooner. We'll figure out the Pats later. Get this thing started tomorrow.

Obviously pre-draft talk/rumor is always up for scrutiny, but almost all signs point to it being a QB. I'll be pretty surprised if it's not. If Clowney is taken I'll gladly eat crow for buying too much into the pre-draft rumors. It seems pretty obvious the direction they'll go at the moment though.

 

Understood about point two, in all the years we've done this mock there's never been a consensus so people do different things. Which is no big deal cuz I think it's still fun. If everyone was as draft obsessed as I was I'd suggest running two concurrent drafts - one "what would I do" and one "what I think will happen". That'd be the most fun but I think not enough posters would share that level of enthusiasm to do this twice.

The rumors I've heard have suggested the exact opposite.

Obviously Clowney could go number one if there's a trade, which maybe you're referring to but it seems still pretty strong towards a QB being the Texans top pick. I'd consider a trade less likely since it seems like the Rams are willing to move down too, muddying up the trade market as a seller.

I've seen a ton of stuff saying the Texans will not be taking a QB #1.

I've seen it mentioned, but it usually seems more in the context of them not even being at number 1 and speculating from there. It's a greater possibility than I though it was a month ago, but I'd still say the signs point to them going QB, recent rumors taken into account of the overall picture.

 

Maybe we're reading way different sources though.
