Jokisch, Paulino, Geiger.

Jokisch is 24, not old, and is coming off 3.4, 3.1, and 3.1 ERA seasons, with 1.2, 1.3, 1.2 WHIPS. Nothing sticks out as exceptional (no amazing high-K or anti-HR or anti-walk). But nothing stands out as problematic, either. Similar with his stuff; no reports of any "wow" velocity or killer breaking ball. But it's also not clear that his velocity or stuff is prohibitively lacking or anything. Prohibitive for being an ace, of course. But I wonder if he might not just end up being a decent/solid pitcher? even in the majors?

He's got a chance.

Does any of his stuff profile well for relief? Or too bland for that?

I'm amazed Frazier still isn't off the board at this point.

Curious why you say that? Because one person on MLB or whatever put him in their top 15?

He's got a prototypical build, throws very hard, and was considered a 1st round possibility heading in to his Junior season. That's plenty of reason to put him in a top 30.

He's got a major league quality fastball and a huge build. Even if that projects him to reliever, he's got tools and build that project him well without him having to develop much.

I went with Arias, Geiger and Silva.

If Arias is healthy, I really like him as a prospect.

Geiger showed a lot of growth last year and has a real chance to hit enough to force his way to MLB.

Silva has some of the best tools in the system and could really break out if he can learn to take a pitch here and there.

We have two in common. I go Geiger, Silva, Martin. I don't understand the reason to take Dunston so early and leave Martin sitting on the bench. He was last year's version of Dunston until he got injured. No reason he won't fully recover.

OK. I'll take Masek (who i think has a much better chance to start) over him then, and I like Balaguert's bat. Then Arias/Geiger/and probably Frazier.

Why didn't anybody draft him in rounds 2,3,4, or 5? He signed for slot, so it wasn't signability or anything. Hopefully the Cubs just got a great buy-low steal. But fair chance that the problems that caused scouts to drop him that far will be hard to solve.

If that's the logic, you should go with arias who had all of those things an a better out pitch.

And I'm a big fan of Frazier and wanted the Cubs to draft him.

Who put Frazier in their top 20? Was it Law? And what was said scouting-wise about him? Same thing, that he's a big guy with a chance to become a big-leaguer reliever if his control improves a lot?
