Just curious, I voted for Soler(or so I thought) and saw that he had no votes, but Pierce Johnson(directly underneath him) had 4 votes. I went in and changed mine and it went through correctly, but wonder if it's possible there is a glitch somehow. One, because I thought it happened to me and Two) I kind of doubt Pierce would be getting that many votes, with Soler having zero, at the time I voted.

As for WHY I voted for Soler.....Almora's injury issues concern me quite a bit, while I can shrug off Soler's right now as just a freak event. That said, with the length of time Soler took off from playing organized baseball, I was super impressed with how good his plate discipline was. You hear about the plus bat speed and the bigtime power tool, the more he readjusts to game play, the more I expect these to come back. I'm very, very excited for his 2014 and think that he's going to take the single largest step forward this year out of all of our better known prospects.

Oh, right; Almora is the one who has had different injuries, not Soler. Switched.

Almora also looks a lot whiter than I expected.

Maybe imb has a pioint.

I voted for Soler and it switched mine to Johnson too. Odd. I wonder if the other two votes are legit votes for Johnson or the same problem.

ETA: Pierce down to one vote.

I voted for Soler too and it gave it to Pierce. Just switched it. So only one left for Pierce (which I'm guessing is really someones vote for Soler).

Almora is gonna be a .290/.350/.450 (with spectacular defense) 5 win beast and all of you doubters are going to be quite pleased

I'm not doubting the talent whatsoever, if he's healthy, I can see his in-prime line being slightly better than that even. I do think he's a .300 hitter.

CJ Edwards has really good stuff and numbers that are most frequently seen in video games. He's no Top 10 prospect because of his size, but there are doubts about Soler(a bit of performance, a bit of injury) and Almora(a lot of injury, lower level) too. Honestly, you can almost fake your way to an argument that Edwards deserves consideration for #2 over Bryant. Edwards is #3 for me.

I've got him over Almora at 4 and did consider him at 3. It's nice to have this many legit options to choose from. I do think Almora gets the group vote here, which is in line with basically all the prospect gurus anyway.

I'm not really a big believer in the notion that being injury prone is a thing...at least most of the time that people think it is. It'll take more than one injury shortened (one of the injuries just being that hamate thing that would be totally unrelated to the others) season to make me think this is going to be a long term issue for him.

I feel like people don't like Almora (as much as they should) because they hear everyone gushing about all the leadership/makeup stuff all the time and don't realize how good an actual baseball player he is.

The injury concerns obfuscate that theory a bit for me now.

I'm going with Almora. My decision came down to Almora vs Edwards, not Soler. For a power prospect with a MLB-ready body, I can't help but want to see more game power from Soler. Admittedly, maybe the ridiculous showings by Baez and Bryant have clouded my judgement a bit in that department. Almora has shown great contact ability and by all accounts has been as-advertised on defense. I'm hoping him getting bigger and stronger will naturally lead to more HR's.

I get it, the arguments for both Almora and Edwards.....But, keep in mind with Soler, he last played organized baseball in Cuba during 2010. Missed an entire season and then most of another, before getting in a hundred or so at bats in 2012. Spoke no English whatsoever, large adjustments going on for the guy in every aspect. The more comfortable he gets, the better I think he's going to look.
