Baez. Only one that is even close is Bryant. Going with Baez because of how high he is on the defensive spectrum while having obscene potential at the plate (for any position).

Same stuff we've all said/heard before.

Only one option? Seems limiting.

Fixed. 3 options like last year.

Also, I'm sure it's not relevant now, but I'd add Candelario, Vizcaino, and maaaaybe Olt and Villanueva to the next poll.

I went with Bryant and I'll say why. I used some outside sources to help shape my decision but ultimately it was up to me. MLB's 2014 list has Baez at 7 and Bryant at 9. Sickels has both Baez and Bryant as As. So I get the feeling these 2 guys are viewed in that same tier of top 10 MLB talent types.

The difference is. I think Baez is more risky but comes with superstar ceiling. Bryant has a safer floor, but still comes with All-Star MVP type ceiling. And I just feel Bryant is a safer bet to at least reach his floor. That's why I chose Bryant, but they are oh so very close in value as prospects.

EDIT: and wow it's neck and neck right now, both with 10 votes. I think that shows just how close they really are, and how I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Thanks for staring it up raisin. We needed something like this right now. :)

I see there is an option to vote up to 3 options. I just question anyone who would do that. Let's say you vote for the obvious 3, Baez, Bryant, and Almora. You didn't actually do anything to sway the poll because it's likely going to be one of those 3 anyway. Why not think long and hard, and make 1 choice.

It doesn't really hurt. But are they really needed until all of Baez, Bryant, Soler, Almora, and Edwards are off the board?

You get to make 3 votes per poll, so I think so.

Soler

That was my order too.

Yep. Maybe if Bryant had a better K rate I could see the defensive and level differences being overcome, but Baez is the guy.

EDIT: And if we're revealing an order, I go Baez, Bryant, Edwards.

I understand. I was just saying, if someone votes for Baez and Bryant in this poll, they aren't really swaying the result because it's gonna be either Baez or Bryant at #1.

i worry enough about baez's contact making ability that i'm still voting Bryant #1.

You should have the same worry about Bryant, though.

In fact, I'm pretty sure his strikeout rates were actually slightly worse at the corresponding levels.

And Bryant's swing is a little weird while Baez's is boneriffic.

FWIW, mine was

Baez

Bryant

Almora

if we vote for 3, are we really ranking em in order or is it just a vote for all three? I guess i dont understand why we're voting for 3.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same.

Like I don't think that, if everybody were going to vote for 3, anybody would not include both Baez and Bryant in their 3. That being the case, IF people were all voting by the same process (3 each), Baez and Bryant should be tied...kinda weird.

If I'm just voting for who I think is #1, it's Baez and only Baez.

Multiple votes works better when we get deeper. But for now, I just used one.

ok. I'm gonna vote one too. And have 1/3 the voting power!

I honestly would be fine with Baez or Bryant as the #1. I'm leaning Baez today, but I go back and forth on it.

Javy at 1 and that's no disrespect to KB, who does have the higher floor obviously. These two [expletive] had BOTH become perennial 5+WAR guys......And yes, I know thats unfair, but I actually see them doing it.
