Yup. I feel for KC. Every third year they make the playoffs and are ceremoniously dumped in their first game. Their fans needed this one.

i don't know if you guys follow jon bois on twitter, but he is a great man. he did those breaking madden features at sbnation and is just generally cool.

I know this is completely illogical but glad the Eagles lost. Serves them right for turning into a buzzsaw for 4 quarters in a meaningless game against the Bears. Blah blah seeding. Glad they got the better seed so they could give the Saints their first playoff road win in their history.

Going to straight up best 6 records in each conference and not giving auto bids to division winners would be better, imo.

In that scenario you'd have to eliminate divisions and remove the 2 games a year against the Packers, Lions and Vikings. That would kind of suck. I think out of the 4 sports, divisions are the best in football and they should keep that aspect. I'm in favor of division winners getting a playoff spot but seed based on record.

The way it is is fine. Either go to top six teams, no divisions or leave it the way it is. The middle ground is worse than the extremes.
