Love it. Sutton's closer to a 2nd rounder than Ferguson is.

FWIW, walterfootball has them graded right about the same.

I agree with that; I think both are late 2nd rd/early 3rd rd guys. Ferguson is a much bigger project while Sutton should have an earlier impact (as long as he's in 2012 shape).

I want an offensive skill player now because they're not particularly deep there.

Terrance West is the RB I fell in love with while watching clips.

As it stands right now:

DE: Allen, Young, Bass, Washington.

DT: Ratliff, Paea, Sutton, Ferguson, Collins.

DE/DT: Houston, Idonije.

Two of Bass/Washington/Collins probably get cut, but still...

Nate Collins and David Bass. Sounds like a set 10 man rotation.

Edit- forgot about Washington too. I was pretty excited about the potential with that pick last year, but it can't be a good sign he never could get on the field. I'm sure he's gone.

Yes. I can't stop stop thinking about how lucky we were last year with injuries, despite having Jay miss so much time. We basically ran with a 13 man offensive unit- occasionally subbing in a 3rd WR or a OL as an eligible receiver. Crazy.

I don't like that this is considered a plan. Slaves to need

i think it's ok when the team can contend for a superbowl by addressing said needs.

i agree that long term i always want the best value but this team has got a legitimate window.

the name rings a bell but i can't picture him at all. i basically mentally tuned out when our defense was on the field. especially the mccown games.

Well its a good thing it was a pretty good DT board, but I agree.

Bass had a pick 6 against Baltimore last year and played a lot of snaps, due solely to attrition.

We used a 6th rounder on Cornelius Washington last year. I don't know why I included him though.

I hope they aren't viewing this as a window.
