I can nearly guarantee I will cry like a baby when/if the Cubs finally win one. And yes, I want that far more than any other of my teams to win a championship and I don't think it's particularly close.

Same here and I'm somewhat convinced that if Cubs do win it all one day, there won't be a Chicago the next day. It's just gonna be one giant burning city.

In 2003, I had basically put in for days off and I was Going to spend games 3 and 4 on Waveland and c as no out. I would cry if the Cubs even got to the series. I would be hysterical if they won one.

I was booking my flight to Chicago, I had guaranteed tickets to the world series that year.

the curse indicates that the cubs will never see a world series in wrigley field, i believe. which is why i'd be ok with a move.

Ditka hanging his former players out to dry with the painkillers lawsuit.

I'm sooooo tired of Mike Ditka's association with the Bears. He's a clown.

Ditka was time & place - he was the right thing at that time to win it. He shouldn't need to be any more than that. The league and sports in general have left him behind like a lot of other guys.

I'd like to see him retire from media at this point but I'm not embarrassed by him.

I think Marshall and Jeffery are both better than DeSean Jackson. That said, the Bears are quite thin beyond those 2 in terms of pure WRs. Still seems weird though, especially the Redskins. I can understand Denver being higher but not Washington.

@LRiddickESPN: Info I had was that #Cowboys DT Melton was behind schedule w/rehab from ACL injury b4 signing w/Dallas. Sounding more & more like the case.

Marshall is the best of the 2 teams. I think they are probably putting Jackson and Garcon ahead of Jeffery because hes only had 1 strong year. Then I think Roberts and Reed are probably a notch better than Martellus, with Wilson obviously a distant rear. I'd still take the Bears group over their pretty easily.

I'm not sure how anybody who watched the NFL last year can rank that corps ahead of the Bears'. They're assuming that a team bringing in a new #1 and pairing him with the existing #1, will get WR production at the level the Bears' unit has already gotten, together.

Even if you remove the team dynamic and examine the players individually, I think you still go with the Bears here. It's not like Wilson will have to be that good to mirror Roberts' likely production.

Interesting development today was Tim Jennings playing nickel when Kyle Fuller came in. Jennings was still No. 2 CB in base D. #Bears

@AdamHoge

Tim Jennings: "I've kind of wanted to play nickel since I got here. So now I have the opportunity, I'm excited about it." #Bears

Matt Slauson's status for rest of OTAs is "TBD", according to him. He didn't want to comment on having an injury. #Bears

Translation: They told me I'm playing nickel, I got a decent contract extension, I'm not going to be an [expletive] about it like other guys might be.

I like. Fuller is versatile but Jennings would probably be the better nickel.

I'm not going to quibble too much over it. But I'd wait until that Redskins unit plays together and shows it on the field before declaring them the best.

“It’s good to have some guys out here to go against instead of just going against air,” he said. “Still got a lot to work on.”

That much was evident on one rep when he walked up to the line of scrimmage and then was beat in coverage by tight end Martellus Bennett. Otherwise, McClellin looked comfortable playing strong-side linebacker with the first-team defense and even handled the defensive calls when he moved to middle linebacker with the second-team unit.

With middle linebacker D.J. Williams absent from practice, second-year linebacker Jon Bostic took the middle linebacker reps with the first-team unit and stayed on the field with Lance Briggs in nickel situations.

Domenik Hixon tore his ACL for the third time today. Likely will retire.

Sucks for him. Not a big blow to the team. He was a #5 WR at best. Making the team was in doubt with Morgan a better WR, Weems a better special teamer, and Chris Williams a better returner. Those are the 4-6 Wrs...... and they still have Toliver who showed flashes last year and is younger.

Exactly...still, 3 blown ACL's should never happen to anyone. Terrible luck.

Even Robbie Hummel is impressed.
