This week would be a good week for like half the top 10 to lose.

I really, really think Georgia is taking down Auburn. At some point Mark Richt could be coaching for his job, fairly or not-another big potential opening.

I predict this is NOT the week OSU goes down.

He's lucky there have been as many injuries as there have been. A friend of mine is well-connected to the UGA boosters, and they are chalking this up as a fluke season (at this point).

That said, they have been very close to firing him before, so a few issues could make this go sideways for him quickly.

Richt has won 22 games the last 2 years, and if they lose Saturday they would have 3 losses to Top 10 teams(2 on the road). Losing to Vandy is rough, but firing Richt for this season seems a bit crazy, even before you get to the injuries.

ugh

The Detroit News[/url]"]

“Whatever formation they came out in, we knew what they were going to throw at us,” Nebraska sophomore defensive end Randy Gregory, who had three sacks, told Omaha.com.

...

Jason Ankrah, a Nebraska defensive end, also told the newspaper the Cornhuskers’ defense was prepared. “We knew what they were going to do right before they did it,” he said.

Borges can't be fired fast enough (he won't be)

This is because Georgia fans are absolute idiots. I dont know what they expect but they have had a decade in the top tier of the SEC and played in the SEC title game 6 times. This is a lloyd carr situation and the program thinks it should be better than is reasonable.

Bingo. Richt is a terrific coach. He's not Nick Saban, but neither are 123 other FBS coaches. Hell, he was 3 yards away from the NCG last year.

Didn't Tressel get slapped with a show cause penalty? When does that run out?

Yes he did, and I don't think it's up for another couple years.

If Illinois cans Beckman like they should, Richt should be on speed-dial.

I'd also consider Tressel, Petrino, and Franklin (Vandy).

And every single one would laugh in their faces because who would want to coach this dumpster fire of a team?

Franklin is going to get a big-time job (bigger than Illinois, like USC) this offseason and Tressel is still under show-cause, but Petrino could be intriguing.

Didn't UofI run Petrino's brother out of town when he was the OC? Probably wouldn't help them with Bobby. Then again, Bobby is a terrible human being who probably has no feelings for anyone, including his brother.

Can certainly coach the hell out of some college football, though, and would be an excellent hire for Illinois.

Petrino is going to land somewhere where they realize he guarantees them a bunch of great years and that they dont care about ethics. It would be great if UF fired muschamp and hired Petrino.

We is Wisconsin so underrated in the BCS? One of their two loses was a screwjob and the other loss was a competitive game on the road to a team that hasnt lost in 2 years. 3 loss LSU is in front of them, Louisville who lost at home and has a putrid schedule, oklahoma has been spanked twice.

They should be grouped with A&M and USC but they are 10 spots lower. The Big 10 in general is getting screwed over by perceptions being biased against them. Why is Auburn 10 spots higher than Mich St? A&M has two loses and 0 impressive wins, why are they ranked higher than 1-loss Ok St or 1-loss MSU?

Wisconsin is a computer darling(although less so in the BCS computers), but their schedule didn't do them many favors. They entered November with their premier win being...Northwestern? Illinois? Now that they'll get a shot at at least some middle of the pack B1G teams they'll rise with more wins. Having 2 losses and your premier win being Iowa or Minnesota doesn't do them a ton of favors compared to some others though.

Michigan State has a similar problem. They only have 1 loss but their loss was worse than Wisconsin's, and their conference slate has been pretty light. They'll certainly rise with Nebraska, Minnesota, and (likely) OSU in their future schedule. In general the B1G is getting hurt by the fact that it's 3 best teams only play each other once in the regular season, and those teams also lost their only non-con games of note(UW/ASU, MSU/ND).
